Allyson Felix
Allyson Melissa Felix was birthed at Los Angeles, California on November 18th 1985. She was the daughter of Paul Felix was an ordained minister at the Master's Seminary in Sun Valley and the mother of her child Marlean Felix was a school teacher at Balboa Magnet Elementary School. Felix was a natural athlete and developed a passion to sprint at Los Angeles Baptist High School. She came second at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships in only 10 weeks following the first time she tried out. In 2003, Felix completed her high school graduation having signed a professional contract with the sports company Adidas and then enrolled at the University of Southern California where she completed her elementary education. Felix took home her first Olympic Medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics which took place in Athens Greece. Felix set an Junior World Record sprinting 200 meters in 22.18 seconds. In 2005, at the Helsinki World Championships, Felix was the youngest world champion in the distance of 200 meters. In 2007, she won her title by beating Jamaican adversary Veronica Campbell. Felix always placed at the top of the podium throughout her events during the Olympics which took place at Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo.
